History Of 1 Cell Research

Stem cell treatments have come a very long way over the past 20 years. Current treatments involve using patients own cells taken from their body fat, to treat osteoarthritis. The aim is to repair joint damage, improve patient’s quality of life via pain reduction with the final goal to help patients avoid joint replacements.

Upon focusing the treatment on osteoarthritis, we have seen the potential for stem cells to help many other diseases and conditions such as;

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Chronic Migraines
  • Lupus
  • Chrohn’s Disease
  • Inflammatory Chronic Depression
  • Nerve Damage
  • Macular Degeneration
  • Asthma
  • Pulmonary Fibrosis
  • Renal Failure

Patient improvements and stories are fantastic, they are a real eye opener for the average person who is looking to get better. Unfortunately, in the world of medicine these one off case studies are considered to be “anecdotal evidence”. We need to promote the research to prove the effectiveness of this treatment.

Current government funding goes towards stem cell research in a laboratory, not to clinical research. Therefore, we are reaching out to the public.

BISCRA is working with the 1 Cell awareness campaign to raise awareness about stem cells, educate the public about how it all works, and raise funds to carry out clinical research. We are working to improve the health of Australian’s.
